This is the first real challange, only 1.8 miles from Santa Ynez... the hardest part is just behind the cameraman... a steep pitch... and a gully that P-nched off my mud flap in 2007. I never knew where, but when looking over Squarecircle's photos, I spotted it, after we cam home!

Here's the photo from Roy's camera at the top of that grade, and you can see my mud flap on the ground, a few feet behind my truck, next to the edge of the photo!

Thanks... better safe than sorry! We really don't have any extra $$ for any trip, anyway... But, Baja sometimes calls to me to return, no matter what!

Pray that the American economy survives this attack on it, so we all can prosper once again!

Thanks MoFish for your reports!

We are doing various other things like the zoo or Disneyland... Just call me and see if we can hook up. Got any good four wheeling trails so I can use my Active Traction Control/ low range!??

Not a problem. We are going to Anza Borrego park on the 20th with some friends. It should be fun with some good 4 wheeling with definite Active Traction Control test grounds for your new Toyota. We'll find a few places like Diablo Drop Off to get it really stuck.:bounce:

Keep me in the loop on these runs Ken. Next weekend (I just remembered) is a Plaster City off road race and Josh (Elizabeth's son) is pitting one of the race trucks he works on at Stewart's Race Works. We had already offered to be there with him.

See us at the '06 Baja 1000 pitting for Baja Pits at El Crucero: http://vivabaja.com/1106

David, if someone whats to take over, that would be great, as right now I want to go but there are some isues that I have to adress firts. I don't want to star planning the trip and later not be able to go, so if you or somebody else wants to start a new thread go ahead... lets see who is interested....@ this point Im about 70% sure that I can do it..

So, David, are you going to start a new thread on this, or count on this one being checked by those who might be interested in going? I was hoping to make it out to the mission with the group so as to meet some of the Nomads whose words I've been reading during the last few years (long time lurker). I'll keep checking to see what develops, but you'd probably be better-served with a new thread.

Start a new thread. We're 15 pages into this one already.
