Hope everyone in Odiles path has moved to high ground above the storm surge and out of any flood prone areas. If you wait too long the roads will be impassable. Good luck.

accuweather says la paz wind speed is 42 km/h out of the east, to reach 63 km/h SSE by 11am. Does this seem accurate to anyone on the ground?

It has been raining in Loreto since about 1:30, least that is when it woke me.
So far the wind has not been extreme. Sure do not like the direction it is heading. They have changed our rain forecast from 2+inches to 7+inches.
There will lots of flooding in Loreto today.
Everyone stay safe please!

What a difference a day makes

Yesterday at this time (7:00 a.m.) I was putting out lines at Thetis Bank outside Mag Bay thinking that the storm would pass offshore to the west a couple of hundred miles some time today. Didn't learn until I got back to Loreto yesterday evening that Odile had veered to the right and Lopez Mateos would be ground zero.
There is no cell service in Lopez now, or in San Jose.
Steady rain and 20 - 30 knot wind in Loreto.
