Maybe if you can keep us up to speed on a regular basis on what is being done/has been done, we wouldn't be duplicating efforts or offering
suggestions that have already been covered.

How was the possible vehicle sighting near La Chorera received?
By whom to whom?
At this point in time, 3-weeks-out, and after having personally searched hundreds of miles of Highway 1 roadside between San Quintin and Loreto, I do
believe the best efforts should be concentrated not far from Jardines/San Quintin. The dunes and beach areas south of San Quintin are notorious for
unsavory incidents. I recall a gringo fisherman murdered for his new red truck a number of years ago; while car camping in the dunes many years ago
two masked men with clubs attempted an assault on us at 3:00 AM. We were alerted and saved by our two dogs! Never again will we visit that area. Too
many incidents reported!

You should reconsider Lizzard Lip's [Dan] offer. I'll join him.

I have been watching this thread every day since it started. I wish I could do more to help.... All I can say is, my thoughts and prayers go out to
Gary and all those involved with the search. I am very impressed by the Bajanomad community. I am
happy to have found you all!

Gary Patton
I believe I saw Gary in Rosarito Centro near Obrera on the beach a little over a week ago. He talked my ear off for a long time. Don't know how to
reach the family. My email is tallartist@hotmail.com or call 661-123-1173. He was asking about rental prices in the area. Sorry for the delay but I
am just not seeing this post.

The search is on for Gary Patton who was last seen at Jardines Hotel (San Quintin) onSept.3rd and 4th and indicated to staff there that he might be
returning that Sunday.
He has not been seen since altho there have been possible sightings in CampoRene and Punta Abreojos (fishing tournament).
Flyers have been posted between the border and La Bocana, CABOMAGIC kindly posted the pic right away.
There has been a missing person report filed in the USA
The American consulate has been notified.
The Mexican navy has been notified since Gary had a red surfboard and wanted to surf (he is not an avid surfer).
Flyers are at gas stations, checkpoints and in stores. Please print some up if you can post somewhere.
Gary is tall, quite thin and a talker. He recently started drinking a little, which does not work well with his meds, this may be affecting his
ability to rationalize - THIS IS CONJECTURE as we do not know if he is still drinking. He is not an avid fisherman either...he just loves Baja, the
people, the views.....He does not use plastic, he has enough cash to last him awhile.
------------------------------------------------------------
MY ORIGINAL POST:
His brother contacted me and they are very concerned! If he is at your hotel or if you see him please tell him to contact his brother. They plan
on heading to San Quintin tomorrow to ask around...that was his last known location.
Thanks.....

Here is an update from the family:
1) U.S. Embassy will not report to family or anyone whether or not Gary crosses back into the States; nor will they directly inform us if they find
Gary and talk to him unless he gives them permission to talk to us (these are very stringent privacy laws that the State Department must follow). Only
exception is if they learn Gary is incapacitated;
2) The Tourismo in San Quintin, however, is not bound by those laws so they can share with us anything they learn and are the ones who told us about a
senora seeing a car looking like Gary's 2 days last week (M&Tu) in La Chorera beach.
3) Gary could be surfing, he could be fishing, on the beach or on a boat, he could be somewhere taking pictures, and he is definitely camping so he
would typically not be in a hotel til just before returning home;
4) Cell phone companies will not tell me anything even though I am the account holder (same privacy BS), not without a court order and that will take
3 weeks; their are no call records since the day he left here; he doesn't text and he does not have a smartphone. He typically would call home from a
pharmacy or landline down there. Many times in the past, phones would not get thru.
5) Lastly, Gary knows where he is going; he's been doing Baja his whole life. We're not concerned because he's a rookie, we're concerned because he
said he would be back to San Quintin by Sunday 9/6 and he was not, nor did he call anyone here. If he lost his phone or broke it, he may only
remember 2 phone numbers but we would not expect him to use his cell anyway.
Gary's nephew is getting married this Saturday, another reason for major concern. We're pursuing more options next.
Newspapers and radio have been notified; police and emergency road services, NAVY, Army, hotels, hospitals as well.
IF anyone is in or near Bahia de Los Angeles as a possible site on east side, please keep an eye out for him there. Again, he should have black racks
on the roof, and a surfboard hanging slightly out the back window or inside the car. THANK you, everyone, for your concern.

We are in Bola and are going into town today or tomorrow and will look again, but have not seen him or his car as yet. We were out at LaGringa 2 days
ago and have not seen him there either. We will be going out towards rincon and will look south of town in a couple days. Connie

Our sister-in-law Kim, has phoned Gretchen from the tallartist post on the sighting of Gary. We are so appreciative of her input and have passed this
latest news to our family members. Thanks so much for everyone's effort.

JustBozo I know but for someone just reading the most recent post/s who may have zero time to read 17 pages of posts a photo would be helpful.
Those of you that know me know I'm tech challenged so heres my best effort.
Come on Gary Patton show yourself to some one who knows all about the efforts to find ya!
