we start to think it's passed, then we get another down pour. The winds have died off in the last half hour.

I'm not in harms way per se. If you take a look at our website: www.haciendacerritos.com you'll see that I'm sitting way above the beach, looking down on it.http://www.haciendacerritos.com

It's totally awesome and I'm in a pretty secure building.

Pacside: your boys are putting up the plywood now - not sure how in this wind, but they are out there.

The surge is creeping up the beach and may knock on the Beach clubs door. I'm keeping my eye on that as well.

Waves crash into the beach in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Peninsula, northwestern Mexico, Tuesday , Sept. 1, 2009. Tourists fled resorts at the tip of the Baja California as Hurricane Jimena roared their way but many slum dwellers concerned about looting refused to leave their imperiled homes.

A local resident covers the windows of his house with wooden panels in preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Jimena, in Puerto San Carlos, Baja California state, Mexico. This guy Josh and his buddies are nutjobs. Their primary interest is to see the most spectacular and awful stuff. They posted disappointment that the hurricane had been downgraded. He's no friend to the folks who are waiting to see if their loved ones and/or their property is safe.
