buenos dias todos...Juan had a nice visit with Lea, William and the kids this morning and this is what he reported via phone to me....

They say they are just fine, have money and food and are continuing south on their adventure. Yes they had a hard time at Conos because there was no store there so they depended on the fishermen for help.

They are pretty mad at all the conjecture here on this forum and want to be left alone. They said that Lea's mom was making a fuss over nothing.

I certainly understand the concerns everyone has but they seem content to keep sailing and didnt want any assistance.

I would be curious to hear of further sightings of them...maybe in the Mag Bay area....now that we are all along for the ride.

Thanks Shari...

If it were just two stupid adults, then fine... but to drag little kids on their suicide voyage, well that's just sad. I hope we are just over-reacting and it really is all okay, and the kids have home-school packets so they learn more than how to sail poorly or beg for food on the beach.

This adventure could have waited until they were adults... unless he is running... ???

Live and let live...you're sounding like a big government proponent now:lol: They want to be left alone so we should let this fade away....

That is surprising coming from a school teacher and a father... really Zac? The next time they crash the boat, it may not be in a popular location, like the seven sisters...

Shari .....
If funds are needed to help the kids I'm willing to throw some funds down there if others here do the same. These kids need to get the hell out of this situation..... and back to a social life and proper schooling.

If people traveling with low resources and a tight budget should be sent home, shouldn't that include all Canadians?

Maybe we should all chip in and tell you how to get a job? Let these folks alone unless they are in real danger.

As they work their way down the coast, especially this time of year, they will be in increasing contact with cruisers plying the waters. Once the left turn is made into the Sea of Cortez resources improve as well as their safety. Communications are much better and the cruising community is quite helpful.

Thanks Shari for the update, we'll keep informed here in La Paz.

There is a fine line between helping and running people's lives. Those who are helping, good on ya...but comments like "two stupid adults", among other suggestions and comments, is not helping.

Sheri, What you do is a good thing. You are a big reason the town is now a destination for Americans and Canadians. You care with action.
Asuncion, was a nice small fishing village for many years that no gringo considered going to, lots of us drove through it on the way to elsewhere. You changed that with all your kindness and helping out.
You do pay it forward. A big THANK YOU!!!!

Mateo-Feo, you were on the beach with them, spent time with them. Go with your gut. Sheri has notified the local navy. It seams that they are on their adventure. This thread has spun into it's own world. We don't know anything about what takes place on that boat. Living aboard a boat will provide much of a eduction for both kid and adult. Let them be. There are 100s of boats moving up and down the coasts everyday, we just decided to pick this one because it ran aground and was posted about. I love to watch these threads spin.

If a person goes to Baja and doesn't post about it on Nomads has he gone.:?:

Granny needs to STFU.... Everyone here can place their own version of reality out here and MAYBE one person will get it close to the actual situation. having a good heart is all that's needed. your opinions won't change anyone else's so let them be. if the lady wants to split she'll find a way. until then quit trying to scrutinize her under your perfect world microscopes.....:!:

Your right, and I did. I think we made the correct decision at the time. Wish I could have done more. At the time, I didn't know what that was. Best wishes to them, positivity is my train of thought now.
