Ay Que Elena,

Oh yes, the old Man is celebrating here, there, a little of every where the Day of the Dead as surly he has visited more than just me I see. Ah well, thank you mucho for sharing him with me and those who remember him, sure is good to have him in our heart, isn't it?

I spent yesterday afternoon and evening at the panteon of a village on the outskirts of Oaxaca. While there I ran into the mother and sister of a tile layer that has worked with VOS Otros in Los Barriles for for more than 13 years now, small world in the end.

Below is a little musica being played at a loveingly decorated grave.

Ken, those are classics, great Katrinas and other pictures, thanks for sharing them.

And Nena, we will cross paths again, someday yet I will make it home.

O wow, You are back! (well on the board at least!) So wonderful to read your stories and feel the energy and love, remeberance of your Dear Ol Dad! Funny, My dear Ol Dad came to dinner the other nite and we were talking about an old friend of ours/his way back in the off-road days about thirty years ago. He said to me" Sally, I remember you told me about a man that knew our friend John Steen. You met this man on the "computer" and I can't remember his name!" So I had a chance to tell him a little bit about your Dad, and remind him of the good times they all shared in those days. Yeah, Your Pops and I shared a few great memories on the Amigo site back then, and it was pretty special and private, like no one else had a clue, or cared what the heck we were talking about! In that way I felt I knew him and what an honor it was to do so!! Really beautiful pics posted here and a great tribute to a truley great man. Bessos Y Abrazzos Hermana!!!

Sally, what a stroke of good luck to connect with you again. And for your dad to make that connection with my dad, and for you two to pull his memory back at this time. Ah well, we all know it tis a small world, no doubt about that.

Ah well, what the heck, lets keep day of the dead alive for just one more day anyway. One more alter for the road before we close.
