If I was there I would go NOW.

If my daughter and grandaughter were there I would say GO NOW!

I don't like giving advice, but if a volcano explodes below you, you will not be there to respond to this or any email. You are already having the warnings. Increasing earthquake activity and now venting, smoke and ash. You may be sitting on a vent.

Love,

Maybe time to move the town to San Roque or further?

Shari, in your other thread you mention you saw SMOKE... I hope you are taking photos!!!

Email photos to me if you can't post them... It looks like rain here in Oceanside this morning so I may not be working all day... I will put them up right away for all to see.

If smoke or steam is venting near your house, I agree with the others... MOVE AWAY (at least temporaily)!!!

Sorry David no photos, I was talking on the radio at the time and looking out the window when it happened. I'm beginning to believe we're on a vent here....hmmmm. Maybe I'll go visit Tita and Bimbo in San Hipolito after all. All I got pictures of was the huge lineup of cars at the gas pump last night when most people fled the village.

Shari, any picture would help bring attention to your village. News agencies such as CNN need pictures to validate their reports. If you could get some news coverage you might get some attention in DF and maybe some real experts would come help your village.
The picture of the line of cars at the pump would work.

Photos like that worth money. News agencies buy them.

I am glad you are going. Stay safe amiga.

The radio just had a specialist on who said it's normal venting and not to worry...that there are 2 areas where the plates may move near here...no problema. No one here has EVER experienced any tremors before. Store are closed, no fishermen went out, cold and windy today.....they say don't be alarmed...but stay informed....but all the information is speculation as there is no test apparatus here. Some say the movement of these plates could cause tsumamis...but probably not. they also said that because the quakes are felt in such a small area...like about 10 miles...even a little way out of town you hardly feel them. So we wait and I'll let you know what happens when the scientists get here...if we're still here!!:o
