Got gas in La Paz 5 AM today (Friday). No lines (yet). I asked if they were getting another load of gas and the response was "Who knows?" Calm seas predicted for weekend, then another possible norther early next week.

Pescadero ran out last night around 5:30 PM...I was in line for about 1 hour and 45 min when the pumps ran dry with 3 friggin cars in front of me. People were filling every type of container they could when they reached the pump. No idea what the situation is now in TS, Pescadero or cabo. I will be heading down to cabo later this afternoon.

Pemex Santa Rosalia (615) 152-0208 reports gas. Long line in the morning. No actual sight of gas being served, strictly a phone report.

This morning long lines La Paz, Todos Santos, when we returned this afternoon no lines business as usual. I think in the morning you all will have gas.

I did email Antonio with the question about El Rosario... But from past history El Rosario always is open... the very worst was when they ran out of Magna for only a few hours, but they had Premium so nobody was forced to wait for the Magna truck to arrive.

If you just gotta know, call the Baja Cactus Motel... number is on the web site www.bajacactus.com

Anyone reporting gas in Guerrero Negro or Vizcaino, or anywhere close by, please PLEASE report here in this thread. We have some stranded travelers here with expiring visas who cannot return home unless they can get gas north of Sta. Rosalia.

thanks

No gasoline in Baja California Sur

There is not a word about it in the news, but there is not one drop of gasoline for sale in Santa Rosalia, Mulege, Loreto and even La Paz.

This is according to the local people that I have spoken to here in the Pueblo of Santa Rosalia. Even the huge storage tanks just north of Santa Rosalia are empty. People here are talking about maybe gasoline arriving next week.

It will be very interesting watching everything grind to a halt.

According to Buoyweather, the projected winds for the La Paz area are no more than 10 knots for Sat, Sun, Mon (same for Loreto). If there is a gas shortage, it is not because the barges can't get in.
