I almost fainted when I walked in the door. Mike's friend Barsam, who hosted the party, bears a marked resemblance to Mike..Hawaiian shirt, gray beard.

It did not take long for our group to assemble out on the patio. All of us, with one exception, met "pre-Nomad" on the old Amigos board years ago. It was a general consensus that:

  1. Time flies by too quickly
  2. Good friends are never forgotten
  3. We need to spend more time in Baja

WELL SAID JEANS,

It was such a blessing to see old and dear friends. Agreed, we need to have more gatherings. The only thing I was sorry for was that it should have been in an auditorium or similar. The crowd easily exceeded 150 if not more. I would have loved to hear some speaches RE favorite Mike moments. Perhaps at the booksigning we can corect that since he finally did realise his dream of a book.
Mindy, it was wonderfull seeing you and glad you drove up with us, however, I am so sorry for crapping out on the way home, I was just exhausted and my back was buggin me a bit.
Let me know when you are going to be in Laguna Niguel area again. HEY, that goes for ANY Nomads that comes my way. Would love to meet old and new friends for coffee or lunch.
Hugs,
M

I got called in to work so I had to miss the event which I am even more sorry now that I see the photos! Who's going to sell Mike's book at the book signing? Perhaps I can arrange to come this year.....

If a man walks in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer. But if he spends his days as a speculator, shearing off those woods and making the earth bald before her time, he is deemed an industrious and enterprising citizen. Henry David Thoreau

Hi Marla,

You can expect to see Mary Ann there... perhaps the boys and Debra too???

It was really something to see how many people were there to honor Mike and his spirit of sharing!!
