Great road - beautiful drive. At at the top of the hill near La Valle de La Trinidad, on your right, there's a great restaurant, good food, extra clean. Also, there's fresh, home made cheese (queso fresco) and tortillas at a mini-market on your left, a bit before Trinidad. Some fresh cheese, warm tortillas, a little salsa and you'll be in heaven!!! Enjoy your trip and welcome back to Baja.

Have you tried the toll road south of Tecate leading to Highway 5 on Highway 2? The most awesome rock landscapes you'll ever see! New road, well signed, very steep, both ways I might add.

Also a toll road, about $12 for a single vehicle without trailer, worth it.

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Distance?

Just returned from San Felipe yesterday- HWY five is in as good a shape as I have ever seen it.

I have never traveled the road from HWY 5 to HWY 1 through Valle de Trinidad. What is the distance and how long does it generally take?
