Am I the only racer to check in?

I finished 8 1000's and half dozen 500's and we ran some random stuff out of Mexicali and San Felipe.
And we pre-ran all of them, more than once,
and in the NORRA days the drive home from La Paz was half on dirt.
Add in the random miles from random trips in the past dozen years and my total is probably somewhere between 20k and 30k but who knows?
I just don't remember many 'bad' miles off road in Baja, not many at all!!

Had to me an amazing experience. I am sorry to see so much new pavement, but things change. As another post said, one nice thing is so much trash has been cleaned up during the last year along Highway 1.

I just posted these recently: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=23188

Over 30 years...easily half as many as I'd like...and when I'm all done it will be more than twice as many as now :light:

I must admit that the offroad travel experience in Baja brings back stronger memories of exploring Baja, that's for sure. You just can't beat offroading in Baja and the people that you meet and sights that you see. There's just too much to take in that most people miss out on. Or, they are just to scared to do it. Like David K says "Too much Baja, too little time"

NON-PAVEMENT MILES IN BAJA???

I always figured many of the miles in Baja were considered to be non-pavement, whether on a dirt track or paved highway....I'm thinking about roads like the old road from San Felipe to Puertocitos...isn't that considered to be non-pavement??? LOL!!!

Sure, Amo, and so did the "paved" BOLA road for much of its life!
