Well, it has to be said. Dennis used to manufacture M-80's in an empty camouflaged pila, but after a few market-testing mishaps, he hasn't been able
to find a drum big enough that he can hear. But he hasn't given up the quest. When he practices in San Quintin, you be able to hear him quite clearly
in Asuncion.

I lived on the Colorado River in Bullhead City and learned to hate jet skis with a passion. Seldom see them here in Loreto.....and please let it stay
that way. I would rather have root canal work done than listen to those things.

Jet Skis allow some folks an excuse to go fast on the water and make noise.

Hey Bob I guess you will be seeing a few near you if the Estero Sta. Barbara project goes as planned. They will have plenty of those and ski-boats
planned as well! They pretty much go hand in hand doncha think?
The only reason the quads and ATVs haven't ruined the whole Mulege area is because the ancient people driving them only ply the well-used
tracks....... and...........very................ slowly.

Good idea, Bob.....
Start it at your place and have them do a straight line to the finish, preferably south.

jet ski
Somebody already did the jet ski down the Gulf thing. This year, too. Raised massive amounts of money for charity. Co-sponsored by several mega
developers. No surprises.

While jet skis and their cousins, the waverunners, have gotten quieter with the introduction of 4 strokes, the mentality of the riders seems the same.
I like the Lake Havasu idea.......converging routes at high speeds could lead to a necessary Darwinian reduction.
ATVs are completely different in my book. I see a number of responsible riders; I have been one, once or twice. I particularly like the utility style
with all the accoutrements available.
Would love to actually help the squarecircle find the lost route to the Gulf from Mission Santa Maria ( or wherever the hell it was) on
one...........just a slow, exploring, gas-conserving putt.

Outlaw Mentality
I always draw the comparison between Wave Runners, etc and Dirt Bikes because, like Hook, I have seen every kind of rider on ATVs, from wild and crazy
to old and sedate. In contrast, EVERY Dirt Bike rider I've seen in camp and elsewhere rides too fast and makes too much noise.

"find the lost route to the Gulf from Mission Santa Maria ( or wherever the hell it was) on one...........just a slow, exploring, gas-conserving putt"
The indians didn't have an ATV - just their own two feet. same as you. good for exploration. BTW, it's not lost. Just go up the hill, follow the
switchbacks and ducks down the hillside to the river, follow the stream for a while and you'll find the trail.

Actually, the route that 'squarecircle' is working on is several miles south of Mision Santa Maria (La Turquesa Canyon)...
Here is a photo I took last May of the Camino Real between Mision Santa Maria and Gonzaga... and no, you can't ride a quad on it... feet or hoof only
(an expert Baja moto rider did get his Honda XR through, but with a lot of damage to his machine)!

That "trail" should be a breeze on a SeaDoo.

OK, so how did the Indians keep and carry their beer cold in this manner?
