My current rig has no name although some people call it the stinky diesel.

My, then, 3 y/o daughter named this rig "Sparkle" when I got it cause it was so clean..She later changed it to "Sparkle B. Climbin'" in the middle of a 3000' ascent in 4by low.

Sparkle got a new backpack!!

El Burro and the War Horse

My Baja trailer is a 70's heavy half ton truck bed with a 3500 lb. axle, electric brakes, four shocks (two air) and a torsion bar.

Right after 9-11 , northbound at the Tecate kiosk, when the female guard commented that it looked like a tough trailer, I made the mistake of referring to it as "bombproof". INSTANT extra hour in secondary.

The War Horse, when the 6.6 gallon tank is full is a 400 lb. beastie, but I love the 300 mile range.

The camel

I call mine "the camel" cause it likes the desert so much. It may be related to "Sparkle" as they both have the same backpack now.

Names? We don't need no stinking names!

Option A:
87, F-250, 4WD, 4.9L inline six & 4 speed manual trans. A Four-Wheel pop up camper is on back.
Option B:
91 Chevy 1500 2WD, 350 V8 & 3spd auto trans w/ OD. A brama camper shell is on the back.

The Ford has only been down twice now but I worked it pretty hard a couple of times and it didn’t let me down. The Chevy was my dad’s truck before he passed away. It is a Baja veteran. I try to keep them both maintained well enough so I don’t have to call them names that I couldn’t repeat here anyway. Don’t know how to post picts.

Yah, it's my baby

It'll be a neverending upgrade I hope. I am planning on a complete restoration and ??? for my old 68' Power Wagon.
This newer Dodge has been sweet. A couple of probs but that's expected. Especially the way I drive.
Cudos to you! That 1500 must boogie pretty good w/hemi. I have a few tricks aboard my ride that separates it from the pack. I want to keep working on the suspension tho. I'm thinkin' bout switchin' out the frt coils for the newer PW stouter version and putting in a quality body-lift.
Poor ol' Blue goes form "Teflon Blue" to "Baja Dust Blue" regularly. I can say that that photo is pre-scratch days. Although I regularly wash and treat the finish it's still beat-up w/scratches from all the old narrow tracks lined with brillo pads. I hope you abuse yours regularly. Off-road adventures are fodder for Dodge trucks!
