Mood: Anxious to get south

My quads are dead stock, electric start, 4 stroke, with reverse. Great transportation and they give our truck a break from the rough roads. After all, it has to get us back home, so my beauty of a SuperDuty will be resting and waiting for it's next assignment.

The latest Jet Ski's, yes they are all called jet ski's but waverunners if you like, although a trademark of Yamaha. Most correctly, PWC. Personal Water Craft, are now 4 stroke motors, fuel injection, and low enough emissions to qualify being on Lake Tahoe, at least my pair which are three seaters. We are taking one, my sweetee likes to hang on for the ride instead of riding her own, at least on this trip. Plus, we have space issue. 20' flatbed car hauler, triple axle with room for one PWC and trailer, and three quads, one quad is a back-up. On the truck rack will be Juan and Shari's gently used boat trailer for their Panga in which I have dissasembled for travel (frame, axle, wheels, tongue etc...) Also, the dog box, a large plywood box I have constructed to comfortably haul our two large best buddies down to Asuncion. Wouldn't be the same with out them.

It's all about the rider though. More importantly, the non-owner that rides it. One guy owns it, 15 others ride it.

For us, we are using our PWC as a vessel in which to go to the islands and surrounding area. By the way, these new type jet ski's are now 12' long, and a lot more comfortable and seaworthy than a boat of it's same length. Let's not forget fun too, that's why I bought them.

So, I've heard it all before, but I'm not being defensive. Just give some of us responsible citizens a little consideration.

Also, we don't go to the Colorado River either, there's a bunch of dumb-asses out there!

Warrior, hope I didn't ruffle any feathers (not my intention)

I understand what you are saying, and I do give "responsible citzens" consideration (thanks for being one of those) and I'm glad to hear that they are getting quieter.

You mention "one owner, 15 riders" perhaps if the "owner" gives "good neighbor" tips and rules to the riders we can all "Just get along"

Again, have fun.............Debra

No ruffleing at all Debra.

As far as the good neighbor tips and rules, it's a long shot. For newbies on Jet Ski's , they are only thinking one thing, go fast!

Debra and Baja Warrior

No hijack---we plan on buying a couple of quads for exploring --- there are lots of existing dirt roads. In fact, we turned back on one as we did not want to get stuck in the sand with having only one vehicle----two quads will change that.

On the other hand, there is one young boy in town who one day drove his quad over the dunes in front of our house. But, we know no real Baja lover would do that.

Baja Warrior, you will have a great time with your quads around here. There are so many places to go.

Now, as far a Donald Trump goes, maybe he can sell this area as just a little more than 30 minutes from San Diego.
:barf:

Happy Travels, and look forward to meeting some of you here. Just look for the yellow house by the playa and the grey Tundra with the Impeach Cheney bumper sticker---:yes:

Everyone stands by on channel 16 then switches to a working channel which we will set up one for us...the coops have their own channels...great thing to have just in case and you can order food delivery with it too and call us to invite us over for c-cktails!

Yep that's how we do it at our casa below San Felipe.

Channel 69 is a hailing channel, then go 68 or 71 or whatever you agree on with the other party.

c-cktails, did you mention c-cktails? I'm Cuba Libre or Margarita on the rocks and Chris is Tanqueray and Tonic. Bringing a modest amount of all.

"to comfortably haul our two large best buddies down to Asuncion. Wouldn't be the same with out them."
Do they get to use the spare quad like Scooby-do?
Noise...I hate noise...the only draw back of my Polaris. Best suspension there is for Baja...but they really need to do something about the noise. Going to dealer before returning to Baja and try to change that...

No, they are card carrying Baja Dogs by way of numerous trips, but they don't get to ride the extra quad, that quad is the backup for us.

Besides, they think they are lap dogs even though the Rotty is 110#'s and the chow/mix is 60#'s.

Our quads are not noisy, and we ride them without exhibition of speed, they also have the stock exhaust.
