My question about the 14 ply tires related to your description of them as having stiffer sidewalls than D or E rated tires. I have run E rated 10 ply tires on my F250 and now my F350. I have had no problems except when I elected to remain at 60psi on a rock road going 60mph fully loaded and towing a trailer - 2 flats !!
Although I have never loved my suspension and have drooled as others flew by with open beers not spilling, both trucks have hauled their overloads with no major suspension breakdowns.
Maybe not a bad idea to carry an extra shock if they're special but to have to plan on breakage is nooo good.
Let us know what you figure out - I'm curious now !
And thanks for the nice reply and explanation.
And re; Roberto - very nice rig, eh ??
