I love convoluted BS. It's what I live for. I've even been known to share it from time to time.

Rather than paraphrase what was sent to me, it was better to have you see what I was responding to... They are just words if the sender's name isn't included, anyway. I did so because I asked all of you to wait until I was finished with that (Part 2) trip report... Instead some of you who think Baja belongs to you and not the Mexicans who live and work there (and would probably really love to have more tourist business), jumped to conclussions based on my past detailed road reports. One of you even said I was posting GPS waypoints (which if you can read, will see none) to secert places.

I have been on Nomad since the very beginning... after Doug, I am the oldest active Nomad here. So, I think I know what is cool or uncool to do. Sorry if a few of you newer Nomads don't like it. But, I am not trying to hurt anyone or cause problems. If I posted the names of those who U2U'd me, then you would have an issue about violation of privacy.

The 'distant Pacific' (formerly known as the S**** S******) is a cold, cloudy, dusty place in the north half and already discoverd with government graded roads and paved highways (Santa Rosalillita) in the south half. My trip report isn't going to change any of that.

More than once I've been tempted to share a U2U which was sent to me. Many of you would be surprised by the venom, and nastiness that some people on this board can puke-up when they don't have to be made accountable by a public viewing.

I think we can all probably still utter the terrible words "Seven Sisters" if we want.

I just did a Google search and it didnt show up in AT LEAST the first 10 pages of returns.

It's somewhere behind the Seven Sisters Writing Club and the Seven Sisters Rugby Club and women's basketball team at Haverford College and of course the Seven Sisters constellation.

I think the surfers can relax...........

10-4 on that Perry... I don't think anything posted on Baja Nomad should lead anyone to that kind of verbal or written violance (which I have received).

This is a place for friends and fun... If you don't like what is written here, then don't read it... But don't tell me I can't write something as neutral as a trip report or send me hate u2u's. Have I ever told any of you what you can post (other than no personal attacks or lies)?

...Posting or even discussing the content of a u2u is childish, more so when the poster asserts an ethic by choosing not to release the u2u. That is self-serving, sand box behavior.

Holding oneself, publicly, in high esteem for not releasing fabricated situations should not be the type of behavior that receive exaltations. But then again, if it wasn't for low standards, some people would have no standards.

I'd feel fine, if six were nine.

OK Gull...no fabricated situations, no sand box behavior.

A couple of weeks ago I carelessly posted a link to a site about global poverty and related it to a thread about "No Poverty in Baja". The moderators pushed my post to Off-Topic where PJC/Baja Blackie immediately belittled it. I personally deleted the post, and re-posted it as a reply to the "Povery" thread where it can still be found. It should have been in that thread in the first place.

You, Gull, then left the following message in my U2U:

Inbox
Sent: 7-15-2007 at 09:36 AM
Message: How do you like the deleting of your f-cked up posts?

I responded with: "which post would that be?" and you have never responded.

In answer to your foul-mouthed comment: I like it fine, I deleted my post and that was exactly what I intended to do.

I invite my fellow nomads to open the link and judge for themselves if the content has any validity in a discussion of poverty in Mexico, and I hope that you'll agree that Gull's post above made it permissable to publish his U2U.

Here's the original link to which Gull objected.
