The local ******** in Puerto San Carlos charged a friend of mine $200.00 per person (he and his girlfriend). This was after another buddy convinced
him it was the right thing to do to turn himself in to the local authorities to obtain his visas. The Puerto San Carlos PD appear to be some of the
biggest crooks in Baja Sur!

I don't understand why the "older fellow" in Ensenada is such a "butt" regarding 'accomodating' those that find it difficult to park at TJ to stamp
their FM3's. Is there another office in Ensenada that actually "likes" gringo's??????

It's the only Migracion office in Ensenada and the bad attitude is shared by most working there. They have a good size staff due to the cruise ships
and all. For each ship that comes into port, a delegation of local migra will board the ship and do God knows what. It's the way it works.
I've talked at length with some of the agents and they seem to have the attitude that we as Americans deserve less than cordiality due to treatment
some Mexicans receive in the states. It also reads well with many of the local Mexicans that they are being represented aggressively. We seem to
share the responsibility for aggressive treatment to illegals in the states.
This is how it was aggressivly explained to me by a Migracion officer who, by his admission, had been an illegal car detailer in Los Angeles.

Have not lived in Baja since the fall of 2005 and only gone back to Ensenada twice since then. Our FM2s are expired and my husband has to go down
this next week for a couple of days. Will cross at San Ysidro. When we crossed last June we didn't stop and didn't get stopped for a tourist card.
We just went on a cruise in the Mexican Riviera and were actually in Mexico for 6 days - no tourist card required. Do all of you (who don't already
live in Baja) stop for this for a weekend trip?

What exactly is an illegal car detailer in Los Angeles?
Do they work exclusively on illegal cars?
Apparently, there wasn't much call for detailing illegal cars if living around Ensenada is the alternative.
