Well I looked for a picture of the tether ball pole in an attempt to keep this thread right on track.... couldn't find the picture, sorry.

David - Certainly these are not the best aerial's of Gonzaga on the net, but I agree they're real nice to view. Steve and I can take some of the credit as photogs, but a great deal of credit goes to our piloto - Nomad name Cap. He's wonderful about flying low, taking another glide by when we want extra shots. We hope to have way more in a couple of months.:tumble::spingrin::bounce::dudette:

Here's one more - shows a better view of the location.

Nena, disagree. Those ARE the best aerial shots of Gonzaga on the net. The low golden light is just magnificent.

Nice dreamy image, Nena.

The sky is a bit washed out though, don't you think?

OK I see it now, an Apache. I am in love with Twin Bonanzas and I guess I saw what I wanted to see :) They are very rare but the people who own them just absolutely LOVE them. Thanks Nena,

Here's a photo of Thanksgiving Dinner at Alfonsina's in 2002:

Chris and I were invited to sit with Doug Bowles and his other guests (Mike and Maureen) for a great feast, hosted by Alfonsina's son Roman Card##as. I flew in Doug's plane from Alfonsina's to Oceanside in 1999.

There was one the following Thanksgiving, as well... We were camping at Brandi's place (La Cantina de Floyd). Sunny days and cold, cold nights!

Really nice images everyone... it's soooo nice to wake up and see new photos of the place I long to be.

Pascuale - I notice some stacked rocks in that truly beautiful first image of yours - cool. Also I'm wondering (gonna display my ignorance here) what are the red 'ball' type things which show inside some of the fishes?

Greg - That is one glorious image you posted! Thanks.

Those red balls are the swim bladders of the fish expanding out of their mouths when they come up from the depths. Some fish are more prone to having them expand. Totoaba always seem to have them coming out which makes it hard to release them at times because the fish will float instead of swim back down. For this we will sometimes pop it with a hook and send em back (unless were really hungry).
