I talked my two friends and wife into taking the motorcycles to the booksigning but will not be able to stay the whole day like last year. Going to enjoy the easy ride down from Brawley through Tecate and ease on into the event by 12 noon or so. Hope to meet up with a few nomads I enjoyed meeting last year and introducing my wife and friends to you:biggrin:. Later======= bajafun777

SATURDAY MAY 3, 2008

THE BAJA EVENT to be at is the SIXTH annual Pyramid Resort Baja Book Authors Signing Party!

Meet the authors, taste the free beer and wine, say hi to Nomads... Get outdoors for awhile and off the stupid computer!

SEE last year's party, it was a blast!: http://vivabaja.com/book5

Come on down the toll road to the Alistos/ La Fonda/ La Mision/ Plaza del Mar exit and head north one mile on the free road to the Plaza del Mar compound (note the pyramid)... between Rosarito and Ensenada. 11:00 am to 4:00 pm... Pot luck dinner and tequila tasting party later!

Where did all the Nomads go?

We went to the book signing today, but what with beach weather and competing fiestas, the turnout was on the light side. Nonetheless, the spirit of the event was great: many popular authors, excellent beer samples (thank you, fdt) and a wonderful atmosphere.

Here's a picture of Bajaguy trying to cadge a few drinks tickets from Baja Bernie (who looked happy and relaxed):

Fishbuck, Bajabound 2005 and Bajaguy share a laugh:

See you next year!

David K, Elizabeth, Audrey and I (Bob H) just got back from the book signing event. The crowd there picked up quite a bit in the afternoon - good bunch of people all around. I won a bottle of wine during one of the raffles, lots of vendors there - and THANK YOU fdt for the beer tasting. Fine beer made in TJ... very good stuff.
I'm sure David K will be posting some photos as he was snapping away! Great weather, fun time.

It was nice to meet you too. Audrey said she most likely will not post on the board... but will sign up as just "Audrey". That's my girl!
