Good for you Diane. Very well said. You are a wealth of information that we require. Like most of the people here. What you have said reminds me
alot of what is said in Desiterata. Which I feel is appropriate to post here.
Barb
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with
all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and
aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your
achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high
ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all
aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nuture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and
loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a
right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace
in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Barb, that was my fathers favorite saying. It was read at his funeral and both my sister's and mine weddings. It is something that all of us should
strive to remember.
Diane,
I think the way that you handle the differences are wonderful, you are correct, way loose your mind when you can just relax and realise there isn't a
whole lot you can do about it. We look forward the the challenges and everything else that goes with living in Baja, when we eventualy get down there
full time. Glad that you are paving the way for us!!!
Keep the pictures coming!

Good choice Diane.
I'm glad you decided to stay. Aside from the quality of the posts we would be missing it would also have sent the wrong message.
I hope your friend overcomes this disease and brings peace to you once again.

I've started coming to grips with every quote in price and time frame being appended with "mas o menos" and how it always ends up being "mas" and
never "menos".

Yes it took alot of looking. But Diane helped me with her "comic" theme.
It's actually a photo of me and my girl at the bullring in Playas De Tijuana.
Hey Diane sorry if I went overboard again. Hope it made you smile a little. Ya, it's a bit naughty. Like me.
Baja can be a challenge forsure. I dropped my FM3 in Ensenada in April. They charged me a late fee ($105) for missing paperwork and it's still not
ready.
And keep those pictures coming. And if you can get a few photos of the local lovely ladies I wouldn't mind. I've seen a few there.
Keep Smiling!

Really appreciate all the nice comments, and the great input---sharing other similar sayings, stories, etc. I enjoyed reading all of them and always
enjoy the Spanish lessons.
Fishbuck, you are over the top, but at least we know who you are.
Thanks again
Diane
