Years ago my brother and I traveled to Gonzaga Bay. We met wonderful people there who had converted old 8' wide Ricky Ricardo trailers into perminant residences. Their power was 12 volt solar and they used a sand spike to draw in sea water thru the sand. Once a week a truck delivered sweet water to them in a 50 gallon drum. They used the brackish water for most of their tasks and used the sweet water for drinking etc. Nice set up, don't know if you could do the same or not, they were on the beach. I was impressed with their set up.
