Seriously? I didn't think they ever opened except for New Years Eve events in the big salon.
There are lots of hotels in Mexico which have never opened but show 100% occupancy. Common knowledge for years. A good book to read that mentions
this is, "Down by the river" by Charles Bowden.
What was the name of the hotel chain that dotted Baja and was famously empty but fully staffed for a long time.....? I've often wondered about that.

Mrs. Arrelano now enjoys her sunday brunch at the Hotel Del- she lives in Coronado. The mexiacn boys always take care of their moms.

They did actually open for business and I knew a guy who worked for them doing maintenance around the place. Told me some stories which I think best
not to repeat.
And yes, they actually did operate the restaurant and even took in guests. I guess they had to at least look like they were legit...
