Since there used to be a pig farm where our homes are now, some of the locals still refer to our little beach as Pig Beach---so maybe a junk pig would be in order---:yes:

I had thought about pig figurines like pink flamingos before, but that just didn't wortk----

but a beautiful junk art rusted pig would look great, as would a plastic junk art pig----and so appropriate made from what is around there.

Now, if someone could just figure out a great art project for the non-refundable bottles-----maybe a mini Watts Tower?

I am really impressed with Nancy's work.

Her work is inspiring the stagnant artist in me. I'm thinking tie dyed junk yard dog. Segway..in Nepal, the children and the mokeys, yes real mokeys, flatten out 2 liter pop plastic and skateboard down the steps of Swyambu, the oldest Buddhist temple on this planet. They call it the Monkey Temple cuz the little critters hang out there. Cute little thieves, and I'm pretty sure they have formed a cartel.

Thank you, Shari

Really cute - and no kidding - that rusty garden art is a big deal. Should sell it in the Vizcaino nursery.

I'm with ya trotters, I was totally digging the mermaid, but the dog is kinda making me share my loyalty, hee hee. The pig will be most excellent. Can't wait to see the junkyard Lucy on the roof at Shari and Juan's. Junkyard puppies??? piglets??? I'm already working on the plastic version, thanks Nancy. And Flamingo? OMG...going to the drawing board now.

Here's a submission to add to the site. I found a giraffe with no head, Cathy found it a head on the beach. It lives in my office in a place of honor.
