Interesting his (Anotonio's) staff didn't notify him that there was a incident and that the party who was burglarized was trying to get ahold of him...

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Exactly what is suspect about this claim... Antonio has a security camera that looks into the dirt lot between his motel and Mama Espinoza's, too...

They telephone Antonio for everything that comes up, out of the norm...

get a life David. This has nothing to do with what happened 50 years ago... and you don't know what happened here. Let Antonio do his thing. Nothing is "suspect"

We love Baja Cactus and so do our dogs. Keeping our 3 off the bed is impossible but we do remove the bedspread (as Antonio instructed us to do) and the blanket -- then put on our own blanket. Baja Cactus is a true bargain rate and for such nice accommodations should charge more. And truly, cash is expected at those rates and in Mexico! We stayed there a couple of months ago with 2 other couples. When we booked the rooms and I told our friends the rate, they groaned. They thought it would some horrid hole like you find in Guerrero Negro at BC rate plus $20. They were THRILLED when we arrived and found how nice the rooms were. They even took 2 showers just because the bathroom and shower were way nicer than at home!

Now, if only they could get that wi-fi working consistently. We'd DEFINITELY pay more for that!

Frank, as soon as some folks mentioned that cleaner's smell, Antonio changed it! He is the most responsive businessman in Baja... that's why I know he was never contacted from his staff or the alleged victim of the suitcase robber... at least he never got the message... and if $500 was taken, would you leave only one voice mail?

Now that's FUNNY! My dogs crated! The noise would clear out the rest of the hotel!

Bill Cosby said it best once. "I don't know the secret to success but I do know the secret to failure is trying to please everyone".

Maybe if gave your dog a bath every once in awhile you wouldn't mind it being on the bed.

Please don't allow your dogs on any motel's beds... You are a guest at someones business property and other PEOPLE need to sleep on those beds after your stay. Not everyone thinks dogs have equal rights to furniture as people do. Allergy/ fleas/ smells you don't notice are reasons.

If you must sleep with your dogs, then do so on the floor... where dogs should be sleeping! GEEZE (and I am a dog lover, before you think otherwise)

SHAME SHAME...

Your talking about the bed spreads right? I understand that for sure. Because everything else should be laundered. Alot of other stuff goes on on those too.

Always amazes me how these threads devolve. Check the title, please.

Antonio. Please raise your rates. You deserve more. You can get more. It will still be the best bargain in Baja, and will keep out the riff raff.

disgusting. do you wash your dogs in the hotel shower? (btw, my dog sleeps on my bed at home, but he doesn't sleep on hotel beds)

the dog lovers should be sleeping with their dogs in the second class rooms, and first class rooms should be reserved for people that don't use hotel as a barn for their dogs, cats, sheep, c-ckatoo, etc.. it sounds like the non-dog rooms are on ground floor (i think ground floor is 2nd class) and barn rooms are on second floor (1st class). something wrong about that arrangement.

antonio...just to let ya know...we so appreciate your economical rates. We rarely stay in hotels but because of your reasonable rates...we enjoy spoiling ourselves at Baja Cactus. Perhaps raising the fancy room rates would be fine but leave the commercial rates the same.

I never understood why people just dont bring their doggie beds with them for hotels. Our dogs sleep in the truck but people with spoiled pooches should provide their own bed....at our rentals, clients always say oh my dog sleeps on the floor...but they dont and I can never get all the little hairs out of the bedspreads...way too much laundry to do afterwards. I like it when people bring the dog beds and cover the furniture with their own blankets but the dog issue is really really difficult.
I'm seriously thinking about charging extra cleaning fee for dogs.

Dogs on the bed? Room broken into? Room broken out of? Dogs ought not to be allowed on beds that humans sleep on. And I've slept with a dog or two in my younger years.
