That is NOT what that article says. It says no information was given on what happened.

I went to school with many friends who work in high positions on Baja norte law enforcement, many old time nomads from the amigo boards know this very well.

I don´t get my news from Bajanorte from newspapers.

Jesse,

If you or any other Nomad were as smart as Cabron or Whiish, you would probably "know all".

I choose (and would encourage other Nomads) to stay ignorant, if they are the standard.

First trip to Tijuana, so bringing $9500 in a bag was a good idea.

I did not know TJ's reputation for being a dangerous city.

Sorry, Nancy. I figured there was no story that would surprise us.

I hadnt counted on the reaction by Nomads. Always a surprise there.

You guys didn't even hear half of it. But oh well.

Thanks

I've been exhausted lately so am pretty thin skinned lately. I have always hated it when I'm the object of ridicule. I don't do it to others and I live by the golden rule.

As for my saying I had not known TJ was dangerous, I chose my words poorly. I meant I had not realized TJ was AS dangerous as it was. All large cities can have some danger but TJ is pretty bad. However, imo, the press is still over sensationalizing/exaggerating the danger to Americans. I've always been pretty brave and street wise. I live in a neighborhood many ppl are scared to death of, but I'm not. It's called felony flats. It reminds me a lot of zona norte. So I'm not scared of zona norte, just the cops.

And not the same person that told you the military was swarming the hills of rosarito and had all but clodsed in El Teo. He disappeard into the wine country I guess. That was five dead cops ago. I do agree with Jesse that you learn little truth from the TJ press.

No mention of this kidnapping or the three Rosarito strong armed paramilitray-type robberies (ricky's, La estancia and one other) of patrons at all in the Union Trib. The UT beat lady- Ms. Sandra Dibble would report all of those if she had any access to the facts. She doesn;t do half-researched stories.

Of course Calderon went to the Torres wedding in TJ and the wedding reception in Ensenada yesterday - so maybe it was not to embarass him further.

In todays editorial there is a letter from the Mayor of TJ on one side and a column from Navarette on the other side- you wouldn't even know they were talking about the same country. The mayor says they are enduinrg a perfect storm (narco vioence, world econmy, long border waits and swine flu)- the columinst says the people have voted- they accepted Calderons defeat and wan't to go back to the PRI for protection from the violence. I'd say there is another storm brewing...

I am skeptical that the kidnapping even happened since there's no mention of it on the internet. I hope it was a hoax or a mixup.

I truly hope Calderon will not be defeated but he probably will be. :(

But then, that wedding was LAST weekend, not "yesterday"; so now we have to doubt the rest of the story.

JFK's family moved liquor during the prohibition and made their fortune- what's the difference? Time cleans money and money cleans reputations.
