Doesn't make it right if the structure of the sale, the fee, has been arbitrarly changed by the landlord alone.
I've been assuming all along that the seller would be paying the fee if he wanted to sell his property.
At any rate, 20% is excessive and calling it a transfer fee is ludicrous. Murder isn't "Tough Love."

Dennis, if the rental agreement is recorded with a Notario, wouldn't it stand up in court if there was a dispute.

It would be an unwise event if a foreigner ever implied that he trusted the government over the word and honor of the landlord. Not a good way to win friends and influence people.

Perhaps it is wiser to trust people after they become a friend, not before.

Wise, indeed. Also wise to keep in mind that, just because you trust the father, your trust hasn't been earned by the sons. Nothing or nobody is forever.

Isnt the name of this thread misleading? This lot isnt for sale...the trailer is but the lot isnt....isnt is just a rented/leased piece of sand? I dont understand how the lot could be for sale.

Nice place though and I agree with mike that if ya have the dough...life is short...park your plane there and enjoy.

I agree with Shari, the lot is not for sale.
The trailer and the agreement to pay the rent is.

I look at it as buying a mobile home in a stateside mobile home park. Happens everywhere, done every day.

Is there a difference?

Exactly!!

Also saw a space for rent North of Blythe on the short cut to Laughlin for $650 and it wasn't on the river. Utitlies were not included either, so add on another X.

Just pick a real good trailer park and unit and enjoy

K-rico is a clear thinker. Parking spaces and boat slips sell every day all over the globe. Often the price seems ridiculously high until you assess the availability/unique space of the situation. In this case the buyer just needs to look at the big picture, figure what's fair and act accordingly. Alfonsina has been there long enough to weather lots of land right storms with regulators and others to be a recognized owner. If you have no faith or trust, go elsewhere where contracts are written in steel, not ice.

Who is everyone commenting to?

Have you guys noticed that the person selling the trailer at Alfonsina's (Monte F) has only posted twice since joining Nomad... and both times in THIS thread, he statred!

I think we have scared him away with this heavy line of questions and comments!

If you ask him nicely, he'll respond privately.
