JUST WONDERING

If Baja nomad has the capability to change ELINVESTI8 to ELINVESTIG8R? I won't bug him in u2u or e-mail. If he sees this maybe he can answer it! If he does I will ask him for the name change.

Actually, David, I always wondered about that. I'm assuming that you are a licensed PI. Hope you can remedy the situation.

You know he does... just recently, in fact for a poster on Nomad... and it was taboo to even ask that Nomad why!??

(if I changed my handle, you all would be wodering why... )

Hi David K. I just want to correct the screen name ELINVESTI8 to ELINVESTIG8R so it does not look like I am "ELIN who INVESTS at 8.” Pretty straight forward! Everyone will know who it is if its changed.

Is the name 'David M' already taken?:light::cool:

You can also ask Doug to add a space so you handle is EL INVESTI8... That would instantly solve the how to say your name problem.

The point of David's (ELINVESTI8) request is obvious. He even spelled it out for you DK, and you still didn't get it.
1. He has no desire to change his identity.
2. Some people choose to use their actual name, which is OK, however, others prefer to use a clever, creative name that represents something about themselves. ELINVESTI...is taking the route that requires imagination. (BajaNomad, for example).
3. If he is granted the requested name change (he could use the edit tool in his profile), it would better represent who/what he is:
ELINVESTIG8R=The Investigator.

I have always wondered why he didn't set it up that way in the first place. Without the 'G' and he 'R',it didn't make a whole lot of sense.

There will be a test after class.

David thanks for your suggestions. I would like to stick with ELINVESTIG8R. I would never use “David M” because some of your admirers would think we are Conservative Republican friends or something. Shhhh, don't tell them we are.

Tony thank you for that! It was an e-mail name. At the time they did not have the availability of Elinvestig8r. When I joined here I just used the same name. But if BajaNomad will change it, Woo Hoo! I guess I should u2u him to see if he would do that for me.

Please, no fighting... I love you all!

David-
I may be wrong, but I think you can do it yourself by going into your profile and editing it. Maybe Doug has a rule against name changes without his approval, but I didn't think so. Maybe he will chime in soon. Others may have the same question.:?:

I think some woman ought to grab the name...FreeMargarita. I'd sample her wares.

Tony I sent BajaNomad an u2u requesting his review of the matter. I'm sure when he's not busy he will consider my request. It's not imperative it be changed but would be nice.

Oh, Tony... Sampling wares!

Tony,
I got it just fine... you didn't... my smiling/ cool dude face after the 'David M' suggestion meant it was a JOKE. David knows me well enough, I think, too.

Did some one say BEER? Or FREE MARGARITAS??? still waiting for those......

OH WELL...

I'm actually only posting this to boost my "star power". LOL!

And to say I hope ElInvesti8 can get the name change without loosing all his "star power".

When I first started lurking on this forum, ElI8~ was off on a rant about something. I posted snarky comments about that situation. I have to admit, BN is the first ever forum I had participated in and I didn't know or understand all the "nuances" of internet posting.

Well, isn't it amazing how we grow and progress? Now we are cheering for a name change!

PS-I publicly apologize to ElInvesti(g8r) for my snarky comments. Sorry M8!

THANK YOU BAJANOMAD NAME CHANGE MARGARITA BASH

Now that the Captain is here let the party get started!

Last night the Honorable Judge BajaNomad granted my permanent name change to ELINVESTIG8R.

Now to call DMV to get a new driver’s License, Social Security to get a new Social Security card, U.S. Department of State for a new passport, Headquarters Marine Corps for a new retired ID card, etc. etc. etc. The list goes on.

I thank you BajaNomad for granting my name change to ELINVESTIG8R.
