I have been through umpteen dozens of checkpoints and had my truck thoroughly searched, but never patted down.:bounce: Either they were seriously profiled, or there is more to the story!;)

Just made the drive from Tecate to Loreto and was amazed at the difference at the checkpoints compared to just 16 months ago. No more waving through. Was questioned at every stop and lots of cars were searched. Mainly Mexican plated though. Some stops had larger delays then going north.

I think my photographic memory ran out of film

Edguero, I've heard of an OCCASIONAL check
of fmt's at Mil Checkpoints, another reason
for having some form of Mex IMM Papers,
this constant debate over the need
for an fmt in No Baja for short periods
drives me nuts,
no need for a 7 day this or that, raise your hands
who wants
to be questioned by the Mex Military, etc.,
for lack of an fmt, I'll stay with the old
regs, longer than 72 hrs., or so of San Felipe, so of Ensenada
get an fmt
