nah- just a bar fight. Don''t give what a few drunks do in a bar too much weight- no matter what or where it is. Now the recent carjackings are a different story...
yea I agree but I've heard alot of sketchy stuff going on in that area for the last couple of years.

'Plan B' is an odd name for a Gay bar, since it is the name of the "Morning After" pill. You would think it is the one place where it would not be needed!!

The reason they named it 'Plan B' is that the first bar didn't do well and had to close. Gotta love it.

Well...of course you are. Don't ever allow a lack of conviction to warp your self-assesment, Wiley. Wear your twisted diagnosis as a medal of honor and every opportunity you get to show 'em your nuts, well, show them. Just make sure there are no kids around.:lol:

Is the real reason that so many folks find themselves South of the border merely cheap meds?:?:

Is everyone taking their meds today? Seems very amiable for a change.

Hey Wesson- thanks for the shout-out... I think.

I'm just a Connecticut Yankee raised in a "Leave it to Beaver" family. I was taught to love and respect others, but to fight for your freedoms and defend your values. Once you make compromises with what you believe, it's gamer-over. These qualities served me well in business- making sure the other party gets something important to them in negotiations- it's never winner-take-all for me. Life shouldn't be fought every day, it should be finessed. I found that people will give their best deals to people they trust and respect and they will be happy to do business with you again. Every successful business knows the value of long-time repeat customers.

Mexico is culturally passive-aggressive, I'm certainly not. You can be firm to your convictions and dealings with un-like minded people without being a total dick about it. I can disagree with people and still wish them a good afternoon at the end and mean it. Sometimes I screw up (like the time I flipped off a TJ cop) but I apologize when I am wrong and my Mexican family finds that trait unusual and interesting.

That's why I enjoy the contrast in my Mexican family and they enjoy me (I think). Both families adore each other and visit each other. Food and smiles are the common language and it works for us. I must amuse them- they roll their eyes and pat me on the back at the same time. I take on fights on their behalf (like the land concession to preserve the beach) that they simply wouldn't have done. My Mexican family tends to live for the day and I tend to always be in the future. I think they are learning what real Americans are all about through me.

We think we know Mexicans because of the ones we deal with in Baja and they think they know Gringos because of the tourists they deal with. The cultural impressions of people we get in any border region are twisted.

... and that's another half hour of my billy-goat life gone that I can't get back. Thanks amigo.

I don't know about that store, but the best and most consistant prices are at the large super markets. Yesterday, a 12 PAK of Tecate at Calimax was 109 Pesos, tax included. An 18 PAK was 145.

Nostalgia?

Wasn't sure if you were just waxing nostalgic. However, Schlitz was the first beer to be put in brown bottles to protect against the harmful effects of light. That said, Schlitz tanked and Stroh bought the brand. Stroh tanked and Pabst ended up buying the rights to the brand. Just a few years ago, they started brewing Schlitz again, using the original recipe. It is not widely available at this time, but i do know you can get it in Florida, as well as several midwest states surrounding their Illinois brewery.
