Probably recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rtPA).

A family member just had an ischemic stroke in the past few months, and was administered this within a short time after her stroke. They called it the "clot buster". While it ended up working out extremely well for her in this case, we were advised prior that the studies on it showed the risk that a certain small % of people would have a bad (or inverse?) reaction to it, and it would make them worse or kill them.
