Didnt Aldo date back to the Amigos de Baja days? Or am I thinking of Fred's board?

Sad news indeed. Condolences to family and friends.
We honeymooned in La Paz and ended up following a tip from Aldo on a dive boat run by friends of his. When we got to town and went to office to sign
up he was there and ended up going out on the boat with us the next day. We got in the water with giant mantas and up close with whale sharks. Aldo
talked to us about how much he loved La Paz and being in and under the water whenever he could.
We hope the best for his children.

Yes, Amigos de Baja (until it retired in 2003)...
I sure hope his kids are of age or else some family members from Italy comes for them.
