I suppose I did, in a way. The people of Egypt have another factor in their favor....the military is on their side. I doubt we'll ever see that here.
I'll take a Tank over Facebook any day.

Think!!
The reason we have stupid Politicans is that the People electing them are aslo Stupid;
Example of American Stupid People DOPERS
Example; People who cannot "Control Their Desires and Keep their Passions within due Bounds"
Example: Teachers Unions
Our socalled Leaders are a reflection of our own Culture.

Maybe herd them into enclosures so they are easier to control. Just thinking. |
Hey Grizz!
I think the "stupid people" already have all that covered.

See Dennis what I mean about Stupid People:
The newer Generation are so weak minded that their only way of Life is to find Fault and Blame the Past instead of making their Minds Stronger and
leanring how to solve the Present problems and look to the Future,
Here I am an Addled old Fart with a Couple of Million in my Hip Pocket, a Beautifull Young wife for the past 30 years{As of Feb. 14th} Spent 38 years
in Baja Sur and the Sea of Cortez, a 50 Year Freemason, a Shriner, Former Alderman, Pilot, Skier, Cowboy, Investigator, College Degree,
AND HASVE NEVER LOWERED MY SELF TO DOPE

I hope you use some of those millions for some good on this earth.
There is that "pablum for the masses", though. You can always fall back on that one, too. |
Huh???????
I am sure Skeet will put those "millions" to good use taking care of his family for years to come-------charity begins at home, I always say..

Maybe everyone should step back and take a breath. Seems to me that there has been this overarching idea that democracy is not only the best, but the
only acceptable form of government.
Yet, here on this thread, I read post after post that complains about how stupid the electorate is. I'm not specifically condoning any other form of
governance, but just maybe folks ought to realize that democracy is not THE only answer all the time, given the social, economic and educational
achievement situation in a country.
Just maybe, if a magic wand passed over the globe, and all nations instantly had full participary democracy, the world would explode into chaos.
Gotta remember, for all there warts and shortcomings, the US founding fathers were themselves an aristocracy, who actually argued and ultimate placed
within the US constutution some controls over the unwashed masses. Think separation of powers, and the electoral college to name just two.

Here in Baja sur, we have one candidate whos under investigation for defrauding the state for 7 million. Another who actually has a record for fraud
and is banned from working in the federal goverment. Another who bankrupted his city when he was a mayor. Another who paid hundreds of checks worth
dozens of millions to unknown suppliers. And these people are doing pretty good in the polls.
Now do you understand what i mean?

It's the party who promotes these garbage pails that must be taken to task just as the Republican Party in the states should be if they ever promote
Sarah Palin for any job which she didn't perform on her back.
Can't blame a loser for accepting a gift.

I'm almost finished reading the book "Do I Stand Alone" by Jesse Ventura. I know that not everybody is a Ventura fan but he is right on the money
about the state of politics, the media and the voting (or not) public in the US. It's been an interesting read so far, check it out if you get a
chance.....dt

Jesse this will be my first time voting here in Mexico. Here's a video that's always helped me in the past when I faced the polls north of the
border.

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Those pesky monkeys obstruct the poignant message of a genius. Comedy, delivered in an attention-getting way
is merely the vehicle of George Carlin's genius. (Thank you, Pam!)
Lenny Bruce talked extensively about words. He knew the line (in an earlier time), and chose to martyr himself by trying to get arrested, and he
succeeded. "Dirty words" in comedy was, in part, his vehicle. And he said, "suppose you take a toilet, the dirtiest word and imagery that
reactionaries can imagine...and boil it!" Well, there goes the dirt. There goes the image.
