We should maybe start this in the morning?

Wow! I'm REALLY impressed that you nailed the Los Poblanos photo. Obviously, you have dined there frequently. Not only is their food great, but it is a visual treat watching all the food prep. We'll be making our way south in two months. Meanwhile.... back to the snow.

Bishop, thats where we used to go... and over Bishop Pass down onto the John Muir Trail.. he started taking us "camping" and "hiking" when very young... and we all had backpacks.. which were only about 12-15 pounds.. but, can remember those "trips"... one time we saw only one person in two weeks... a guy that was hiking the entire trail... the guy stayed with us for a day or two.. and then continued on ... was a different time.. only worried about "animals" getting into gear... ya could leave a camp and never think about anyone doing "anything" which would be considered "bad behavior"...

But, it got too crowed for the old man... and he switched on travels, to the south ... and his favorite place became La Mision .... where he started staying .. a lot in the late fifties and early sixties.. at a place that belonged to a lady who's husband had died, and stopped using her place ... all most bought it.. but, our mother did not like Mexico.. period.. so he did not get it... that was a very long time ago..

Must admit, taking off again and heading back down sounds good to me... however, the wife is not really up for another trip down, at this time.. plus I'm working on getting back "up"... a little too much trying do things for Christmas.. put be back down, I'm back up to where I can sit again.. but, walking is still a way off ... getting up and around the house..

Thanks for the picture of your horse... looks like the big gal.. has so good feed and some room... that pretty cool.. and its been a while since I've seen that Sac area from the ground...

Will keep at it... hoping to get back up.. and do it again, if possible..
