No Goat
I had so fallen in Love with Baja Sur and the Seao of Cortez that I had to find a way to afford more time.
Another True Story:
In 1962 when I left the Investigative Offices of the State of Calif and returned to The Central Valley, I went to work for a year with the Fresno
County Welfare Office as a Welfare Worker and at that time started flying-Bought a Cessna 140 and learned to Fly our of Furlong Field off of Shaw
Ave, Fresno.
Then went to work for General Adjustment Bureau. Flying at that time on my Student Certificate. Also became a Active Week end Ski Patrolman as well as
teaching First Aid Instructors.
2 years later GAB offered me the Bishop Calif, Office which included parts of Western Nevada, Tonopah Beatty, etc. Had two employees.
Had sold my Cessna 140 but started Towing Gliders with a Super Cub
Was doing pretty good so bought a brand new Cessna 172 . Went to the factory and picked it up. That year my Sister-in- Law gave me Ray Cannons "Sea
of Cortez". It changed my Life .
Started going to Baja Sur every chance I had. Discovered Loreto on the First Trip in 1967.
Started doing Aircraft Adjustments/Investigations after making a connection from an Accident in Bisho. Went to San Francisco as Claims Mgr for
Associated Aviation ,then across to Oakland wshere I became a Partner with Jay Wright who had an Aviation only Business, stayed there for 3 years and
was spending too much time going and staying in Baja.
Went to Fresno Calif and bought a Snap-On Tool Route for Los Banos, Chowchilla, and Dos Palos Calif for $16,000 Dollars Flying to Baja every chance ,
had a couple of different Aiplanes finaly got a 170B and that was the Best!
In 1983 I had a Million bucks in property and Cash so I retired to Loreto and started building Rancho Sonrisa . Been retired since then with still
some property Investiments.
I do have two Brand New Calanders from Snap-On Tools dated 1978.

Skeets/Loreto, You've got some mighty good stories. Share some more with us. I'm enjoying 'em more and more. About the fishing? Will butt heads with
you on that, but that would be a losing proposition.

Is Skeet announcing running for ruler of the world? Taking over PETA? telling us that by posting to his threads we have all been infected with an
irreparable illness and will succumb to his nonsensical madness?

Skeet when you were doing the Snap-on-Tool gig in the central valley did you ever run into a guy named Bud Enochs who was the Union Oil distributor

Skeet is going back to work for the government! Good for you Skeet. I hope you can still bargain for a living wage and a decent retirement.
Or perhaps DanO is wrong?! Is Skeet coming out?

Me too. Since a bunch of the rapture nuts are targeting 5/21, it just makes it a bit more curious why Skeet is touting 5/17.
I have to say, however, given the untold numbers of folks that have targeted a date fot the end of the world over the last century, mayhaps, one time
someone might be correct????
