Bless all three of you, human feline canine
Each nature distinct,
yet a deep genetic remembering calls us back, back, back in time
to our more primitive consciousness
when we agreed to share home and hearth, food, affection
and yes, protection.
This call, imperfect compromise as it was crafted eons ago,
echoes within our beings even today.
Bless all three of you, human feline canine
Perfect in your own species' uniqueness.

Could not be better said. It is that simple, what is, just is.

So sorry, Jan. You are someone I'd like to meet when we move to Baja soon. I have worked with animals for many years and I can see you have a big
"animal heart." One of the most gentle, loving dogs I have ever had was a coyote mix but his nemesis was cats. He loved kids, other dogs, everyone,
but have a cat jump into our yard and it was all over. He hated them with a passion and who knows why.
Dogs are not our whole life, but dogs make our life whole.

He walks around with his head down and sniffs her place.
