Thank you.....that is my political rant for this year. |
What does Barbara Boxer have to do with the budget of the state of California?
Answer: NADA |
Who ever said she did?....you read something into this that was not there.

crikey! what is wrong with collecting taxes owed? DK, you are suggesting that government continue to provide government services to tax deadbeats?
i applaud the govt in stepping up tax collection efforts.

So Boxer is a fascist? Or is she a real left wing liberal? She cannot be both.
Personally, I see this as an attempt to prevent scofflaws from fleeing the country without paying what they legally owe.
The no passport required to flee the US is a bogus argument simply because fleeing to Mexico or Canada does not get you to an extradition-free
country.
As for the Senate and budgets and Obama, let's focus on a couple of hard facts. Number one, although the Dems have a plurality in the Senate, it is
not enough to prevent filibuster. And that is the treat the Repubs have made at every turn. Add to that the fact that Mitch McConnell went on record
after the Obama election saying that the number one priority of his party was to ensure that Obama was not reelected. McConnell and Boehner have
worked long and hard at that; the welfare of the nation be damned.

I dont understand how a budget can get passed without the Senate's approval. I thought that's what they work out in conference every year.

A fascist in that she believes in government being all 'democratic and free' when it isn't. A free and prosperous American population is not what they
want... A poor and needy population that will re-elect them for their special programs and food stamps and handouts is what they really want (at least
that is what they are proving now... more Americans on food stamps than ever... ).
Give a hungry man a fish and make him come back to you, or teach a man to fish and he never again needs you.
Democrats measure compassion by how many people are on government support.
Republicans measure compassion by how many people no longer need support.

Thanks for that. I never realize how truly simple-minded you really are, until this.
I had suspicions, mind you..............
You clearly have NO IDEA what a fascist is, either.

Why is it that liberals want more govt., more rules, more regulations, more laws, more taxes, more intrusions into peoples everyday affairs? There's
got to be some psychological reason. Maybe their parents didn't give them enough attention? Maybe they see the govt. as their surrogate parents?

No, your wrong again.
I NEVER said Boxer crafted a CA budget.
Go back and re-read REAL slow please.
Those liberals....the ones that won't bring forward a Democratic budget to then
sit down as adults and work out with the Republican version.
Two years in a row the Republican Congress had put forth a budget.
Like it or not, the Senate can at least bring forward one of their own to hash out differences.....they won't and you should be asking your Senator
why.
Rep Paul Ryan has cajones......Babs Boxer only wishes she had a pair.

That is not the reason.
Call your Democratic senator and ask them why they won't bring forward a budget.
Harry Reid is protecting some of his flock from the scorn of their constituents if they attempt to pass a budget that is not serious and continues
huge deficits.
That is why the budget Obama put forward, got dumped on arrival with ZERO democratic votes. No one wanted to touch it for fear of voter backlash.
Paul Ryan puts forth a budget and is hung from the yardarm for being serious about the spending.
It's unfortunate the liberal Senate is not.

Please explain where the revenue will come from to cover more tax cuts for the rich? How does this cut the deficit? It doesn't...just more right
ring rhetoric to appease the simpletons and reward the one percent.

cmon Zach. didn't the prez just extend the Bush tax cuts? i'm a simple guy, i don't need much to make me smile, but you cut the deficit by making
people get off ObamaBucks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5tqH7UrzOw
we both know that the govt is taking in more folks from the lowest common denominator and trying to make them angry against the upper middle class.
rhetoric is a biatch. your guy doesn't have a clear thought without his writers putting it on a teleprompter. and then he still stumbles,
occassionaly.
that said, where has the civility gone? i grew up in a country that had it's problems but somehow, everyone got along.....
to make my point (i'm not taking sides here, but humor me!) what about the media coverage of the Travon Martin case? the kid was probably murdered.
you don't know any facts. i have none, either. but 12 hours after the shooter was interviewed NBC put out a 911 recording where they EDITED the tape
to insert a racial angle to the whole story. the guy is innocent until he is tried in front of a jury.
idon't have any answers that will solve our nations problems, but if they keep letting in people from far away villages, well, this nation is going to
revert to the sum of its whole, no?
BTW, i wish we were having this discussion over 4 beers and a campfire!

Woody, first off, picked up a variety pack (8) of Ballast Point Bombers today at Costco (Mission Valley) for only $28. There was also Stone there for
$31....I love living in Beer City!
Okay, does this make any sense....continue to cut taxes which equates to more education cuts which equates to a pink slip for 10% of San Diego
teachers who will now go on unemployment....hmmm....that makes a whole lot of sense....let's see I was paying taxes and now I am kicking back on my
patio in Baja drinking Ballast Point Bombers at the expense of those people with jobs....wait a minute....I'm liking this idea more and more....we
need to cut taxes!!!!!
And wtf does Trayon have to do with anything unless you want to talk about stupid gun laws......
Here is a breakdown of the Ryan budget...remember the compassionate conservatives....

Again Zac, cutting taxes on business INCREASES income to the treasury!!!
Lower taxes leads to more hiring which leads to more people paying tax.
What gets more, 1 business paying $5,000 or 10 employees paying $1000 ???
There are more employees than businesses, always. Those 10 new employees are also out buying things with the money the business pays them (which comes
from selling products or services people want or need)... It is win-win for the people, the business, and the government!

point. Otherwise, keep drinking the Fox flavored Kool-Aid.

i was linking the Travon case to my theory of everyone getting along, without THE MAJOR NETWORK NEWS OUTRIGHT LYING!!!!! you know, control the message
and you control the masses? you didn't aknowledge (sp?) Obama extending the Bush tax cuts, por k no? it your guy trying to tell me that $40/week is
going to make me feel better. but it is still the Bush tax cut.
i don't need to get my taxes cut. i grew up on the govt teet. moms was on welfare and she went to nursing school, didn't spend enough time with me but
died from diabetes complications at 45 years old. that was 21 years ago.
not that anything above means nothing to anyone else, but i learned a long time ago tha unemployment only pays 1/3 of my bills. granted, i have milked
it a few times in my life-but i was paying into it. i have a buddy who is going on 40 weeks of unemployment and 2 others who maxed out at a year. what
happened to "shovel ready?"
why does the govt ALWAYS gravitate to firefighter, police and teachers going to be the first to be cut? because they are the most bloated segments? i
don't know, but i remember this crap since i was a kid. i have been in construction all my life, with a half decade as an EMT/FF. i never hear ANYONE
b!tching about all of the construction jobs that DO NOT EXIST today. why is that? because San Diego has next to zero union construction jobs versus
the public servant unions?
BTW, i love me a cold Yellowtail Pale Ale. it's my favorite brew......
