One toilet, one urinal, three different types of tile, no sink, no door.....yep, sounds about ready to me.
On my last trip through I went to the motel to see about the alternate bathroom, couldn't wait for the 3 people already there waiting to use the 1
bathroom available.....back to the roadside rest stop....dt

One other observation.
I see all these posts about the honest pumps at this station.
As if, it is the only one in all of Mexico. Methinks those folks are doing a great disservice to all the other honest Pemex franchisees all over the
country.
There are a few bad apples. Period. Very few. This forum does a great job of ferreting-out those few bad ones and sharing that info.
Just saying that although there are no Pemex stations South of El Rosario for quite some distance, there are a ton of them only 30-40 minutes to the
North. Just thinking that the station by Los Pinos would have to be crazy to cheat customers on the same pumps they use for their own employees and
vehicles.
And, dt is correct in his observation that the remodel does not add any additional facilities. ( Gonna put tile over the concrete floor, is that OK
with you guys?) Just another question about the so-called Pemex red tape. Anyone care to show me where Pemex has to get involved in an interior
decorative change? Makes zero sense to me.

I will certainly agree with Pompano's assessment of Antonio being a gentleman. But, as someone posted earlier, it seems that some Pemex station get
built in less time than this bathroom project. And, I have a difficult time believing that Pemex would have such rigorous red tape for an improvement
to an existing station, especially considering it's run by a long time franchisee.
And although the tile and stainless look really nice, our friend Pompano didn't post any shots of actual TP or soap or towels. Just saying that tile,
stainless steel and waterless urinals still don't allow you to clean up. |
Hey Bajahowodd...guess what, it's a bathroom! You know, I'll just bet URINE does happen here, although that particular colored water in the toilet
that you are 'alluding to' is merely dirty water from the workman's cleanup. Fer chriss sakes, it's a gosh darnn men's bath..did you expect Chanel
No. 5 instead?

I am very sorry I took the time to post these photos, but thought I could do Antonio a favor. Obviously certain people should continue to use the
bushes and continue to post their disparaging remarks on a Pemex station I find up to par with any station in the USA.
Consider me ..gone.

Chuckie, maybe you've never been in a genuine old-fashioned baño in a gasolinera. What the heck, here goes...
The taza is overflowing onto the floor with raw sewage. Luckily the floor tiles are all broken so the stuff is only a half inch deep. Toilet seat?
Hahahahahahahahahaha! But it's only 16 blocks to the next available sanitario, and so what that you have to go "right-now!"
How do you wipe the stuff off the soles of your shoes before you get back in the car. The gasolinera has no water. You shuffle ten or twenty yards
across the badly cracked asphalt, scraping as best you can.
Ever find a perfect creosote bush to dart behind and find a very cranky steer there or a rattler? Don't worry, the next anything tall enough to hide
behind is only a quarter-mile away but sigh, there is no place to pull off the road.
I am thankful to find a decent restroom never mind a clean one.
Ever ride 75 or so miles with a woman who definetly did not want to squat and fall backwards into a patch of cholla. Hell, make that 75 DAYS?
