This is what flying Sams int'l admin sent out yesterday:

Many of you know people who fly with both the Flying Sams and with LIGA. It is with great sadness that I have to report to you that LIGA suffered a tragic accident this weekend.

One of their planes with 4 on board crashed while flying from El Fuerte, their base of operations, to one of their remote clinics, El Carizo. The pilot was fatally injured, and the three passengers are in stable condition in the hospital.
The pilot was John Slater, and the passengers were, Liam Guzman, Jacy Brown, and Zulia Powers (as reported by the Mexican press).

Our hearts, concerns, and prayers go out to them, and their families. We wish a speedy and complete recovery for the survivors.

I will ensure that LIGA knows the Sams stand ready to assit LIGA in any way we can. I believe we are all diminished by the loss of even one
