Does look like our neighborhood Pismo. Typical scene from 4th of July weekend. Pretty entertaining place on a busy weekend. What is amazing is what happens to a car/truck caught in the surf. When the tide goes back down, the fuel tank is fully jammed with sand, a distibutor cap (if it has one, and every orifice is packed tight). Best to stay out of that surf. The crowd gathered on the beach for the fireworks show is sometimes surprised by water levels rising and chaos reigns.

My father was the Chief Ranger when they dredged the lagoons at the State Park. I earned a lot of tips before I had a driver's license because I had so much experience getting cars un-stuck around the Oceano beach ramp. I thought I really had it going on!:lol::lol:
