I'll take it if it is the oblong dish, Ken. The smaller round DTV dish does not receive HD signals.

I am sure my wife is a female, and she is the one insistent on having DIRECTV in the house.
Perhaps women on VACATION may be that way.

I would re-think that DirectTV dish thing, and go to Slingbox to get the same channels you get up in CA... as long as they have TelMex DSL over there?

That is the current problem...we have no direct phone line to the house, and the internet (on bajagypsy's router signal bounce), the signal has been somewhat inconsistent.
That is why I feel the DTV route will be the most reliable signal.

I stayed for three months this winter in this beautiful home. Great rental! Great village and lots of wonderful people in Asuncion!
