The wife was El Centro ... when that one came through .... 3' of water at the motel where she was saying ... a real mess ... don't think they ever put
the rail back in .. she was on the second floor

So far all is calm here at La Aguja - but the storm track shows Juliette coming straight smack at us. It's been cloudy all day with very dark clouds
to the east (towards La Paz) off and on. Don't know if La Paz has had any rain or not. In any case, shutters are up, water tanks filled,
etc........would be really nice if the power stays on......and we just get a nice soaking rain a la Bajahowodd. We'll see.

No surprise, and in the best interests of everyone.
Governor Marcos Covarrubias just announced that school classes have been suspended
in all of Baja California Sur for tomorrow, August 29th due to Tropical Storm Juliette.
We stocked up on food, candles and flashlights again here in Mulege.
Roads may be passable tomorrow but they're sure gonna be muddy.
The river this afternoon is high-tide and in-coming with white-capped waves.
Hang on (and get out of your river houses) we're in for another dodgy night.

The latest sat images looks like the system is heading west out to sea and may miss us here in Todos Santos. We have very overcast skies, light wind
and intermittent rain. Quite lovely.

It seems like from the wind direction here, NNE, that the storm is going up the east side of the peninsula, usually when they go up the Pacific side
we get a south to southwest wind.

Lotsa wind, not much rain.
She has gone by on the Pacific side.
That cell must have been the storm breaking up after hitting land.
Sure blew through here...still blowing 30-35.
