thanks..it's helpful when looking for someone to know where they might be so we can get family and friends living in baja to look for him too....so it
would be good to know where he may be...baja is a very small world and the people here on Nomads have excellent contacts so more info would be
appreciated if you want help finding your dad.

Notify both the State Police (PEP) and the Federal Highway Police (there is an office on the south end of San Quintin). Leave them photos of Gary and
the vehicle.
Also leave photos at military checkpoints, PEMEX stations and motels along Hwy 1.
Have Garys home bank check his ATM and credit card activity.
You may need to contact the local law enforcement agency where he lives and file a missing persons/vehicle report. This will get him into the national
NCIC database

I know they contacted the consulate and they said his name is not in the jails or hospitals. He is good about staying in contact. This is a first.

I agree with Blanca...and personally, I would check/call the hospitals instead of relying on the Consulate's word on that. Let's hope he's out and
about having a good time and lost track of time, easy to do in Baja.
Keeping him and his family in our thoughts!

He arrived in SQ at Jardines on Wednesday and checked out Thursday letting them know he planned on returning sunday. Jardines confirmed. Jardines or
someone got the notion he may go to BDLA to see whale sharks. Wouldn't surprise me but still should have been back sunday.

If he planned to return north to SQ after only 3 days, it doesnt sound like he planned to go further south so the search should perhaps be focused on
that area...has someone called the SQ hospital and police? Have you put this out on Talk Baja forum too?

a few years back a friend of ours flipped his car in Catavinia and the vehicle couldnt be seen from the road...when he didnt show up, his family knew
he was somewhere between here & San Quintin and found him pinned under his car....so tragic. Let us hope that he is having fun somewhere in baja
on a remote beach but certainly the police should be looking for him.
