I retired 14 months ago with plans to visit Baja more than my 2x a year trips. I have been exactly ONE time in the last 14 months - seem to be too busy to get organized to head south! It's a very sad thing....

0+4years. retired once at 53 bought the land and have secured the contractor and will have plans drawn next month. the casa will be built over the next 14 months starting Jan 2015 will spend a couple months jan feb 2015 with layout and foundations work then back to work. I landed a nice gig doing what i used to do for the company i used to work for under contract with the new company i work with. weird things happen. I have negotiated time for Baja at least two months a year for the next four years, possibly more if I can get it. I'll return in Oct 2015 to veiw all the mechanicals and return in Jan 2016 to see the finishes done. Will try and only work 6-7 months the following years 2017-18 spending the months of november december jan feb march in baja. After 2018 it on an as needed basis working when i'm in the states 6 month of the year. The rest of the time being spent in the east cape area and todos santos area. hope all works well according to the plans. Have met some nice folks over the past years down south looking forward to meeting some more.
