Much appreciated... thanks again amigos!

I have been working on my new book most of the morning, so I am doing what I like to do... and that is to write about the greatest peninsula on earth!

Happy B-Day Dave! I intend to get a Spot gps tracker and put you on the contact list. If you need to get SOB in October or November, just let me know, and I can send a private 'come save me message'. That should be a plausible excuse to leave S.D.!

It won't take a lot of arm-twisting to get me to Baja!

My mind is already there, after all!

David....you are more closely related to the Baja of old than anyone here....or there. The best thing is, you continue to share the important history of the region. So little of that generosity is available these days. Now it's mostly restaurant reviews.
Keep up the good work. it's your calling, and you've answered it well.

Super nice Dennis, thank you!

I sure don't know why Baja stuck to me or that I have been inspired to write about it so much and study its history. The place just fascinates me to no end.

I mean, gee wiz, why?

In 1966, my parents and I did the drive from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas over a 2 week period, and while I was not yet nine years old, the memory is very much alive! Reading Gerhard & Gulick as we slowly bounced our way south, driving over 800 dirt miles, really had an impact on me about the importance of good guidebooks and good maps!

49 years ago, on that trip...

FELIZ CUMPLEAŅOS, COMPADRE!

We are in BA for another couple of weeks, and the WWW is hard to come by here. And when I do get it, such as a WWW cafe, it is painfully slow.

My FB and Nomad posts are going to have to wait until we get back. Spending 2-3 hours to post things is not a good experience, buddy!
