At least grab some DNA so if in the future if we have the means to regenerate a species we'll have the blueprint, though they are apparently fairly
distant from other known species which makes a nursemaid species difficult. I wonder if they evolved and migrated up the gulf as it was split off the
mainland by the subsumed East Pacific Rise...the proto-gulf would have been like the San Felipe to Salton Sea area but further south (minus the
Colorado Delta).

 Yeah, sure, you betcha.

Assuming that scientific advancement at some point in the distant future finally achieved, at great cost, the
possibility of regenerating such a complex species ..................

WHERE, exactly, on the list would priorities place the Vaquita ?

Sightings in the Sea by cruisers were very common last year. Everyone remarked on the increase in whales, dolphin and sharks.

Remember the Vaquita! And use it as a rallying cry to save what's left in the Cortez before it's too late.

I'm sure that the last remaining (?) Vaquitas will be encouraged by the good thoughts expressed here.

Though, I suppose there's the possibility that they won't have read them.
