That's not right.

The image he uploaded is 980px wide but the one displayed is 800px wide. You can verify that by comparing it's width to your own 800px image. When you upload an image to nomads it is converted to 800px if it exceeds 800px.

If you click on the picture of the goats you will see the original 980px wide image that was uploaded in an overlay.

If you click back and forth between the 980px image and the 800px and look carefully you will see that the 800 is slightly blurrier. That's due to the resizing that took place. That's what I was referring to when I said it's best to upload an 800px or less image and not have it resized.

Doug - correct me if I'm wrong. I think all of this has been previously noted in the gallery forum.

Correct. Max image height and width are set to 1600 pixels to upload.

My intent was to show how images get degraded and how to change that. It seems people are more interested in just getting the image to our site in the first place.
