Sadly, he lost his life as well... It was posted on another thread here... also, it said the Rosarito police know who did it, but haven't caught the person, as of yet.

Second U-S citizen dies after being hit by car on Mexican beach

http://www.kesq.com/Global/story.asp?S=3126977

March 26, 2005

ROSARITO, Mexico The second of two U-S citizens struck by a car racing on a beach earlier this week in Rosarito, Mexico has died.

Twenty-five-year-old Joseph Andrade Escalante of Santa Barbara, California, died from his injuries last night.

Andrade and his girlfriend, 21-year-old Amy Ruth Kent were lying together on the beach about 2 a-m Monday when one of three cars driving at high speeds along the sand rolled over them. Kent died instantly from massive head injuries.

The two were struck a short distance from bars and nightclubs frequented by thousands of U-S spring breakers, most from California.

Kent's parents, Chris and Patty Kent, asked Rosarito Mayor Antonio Macias to investigate the incident.
