Cataviña paint crap is graffiti.

few years ago they went in and painted over the graffiti thru catavina....I think it looked worse

Narrowing it down a bit, I think the "Welcome to La Gringa" letters were painted sometime between March 2006 and May 2008.
- They are not visible in the historical March 2006 satellite image I posted.
- They are mentioned by Nomad Matt&Mutt in his May 2008 story:
