Tenkara is really fun. Would be perfect for these little beauties.

I have used Tenkara rods for the last 4 years or so. I do the comando fishing on small isolated streams - for tht, its perfect. But i often find the 12 foot rod to "long" to be really effective in the places i go. i carry a 7 fot micro tenkara that has turned out to be my best most consistent fish producer.

Last year i got the Utah cuthroat challenge on that 7 foot rod, using a single fly I tied using roadkill animals for the hackle.

even when I take my standard fly fishing setup - I have my tenkara stuffed in my pack - just in case.

Im amazed. Two pages and still talking about Fishing. Very refreshing. I'm going to look into the 7' Tenkara. Sounds interesting.

I'm happy to see this thread stay on task as well. I do a lot of small creek stuff like caj13, so I find my 7 1/2 foot rod very practical.
