Sorry buddy, you are still a little too green and not ripe yet! Who said you were wealthy and who are you anyway?

Asking Pedro to not take arrowheads off my property and sell them for dope is more like it. If there were arowheads on your property, who would they belong to? I believe it is the Mexican government and the people of Mexico, not a bunch of deadbeats that steal them and take them back to the states to sell. Who ever you are you sure don't have the cahonies to say it. Anyway the favor isn't the point, paying my way and being fair is.

Joe

Think back to about 5 years ago when you were asking for food because you had no money... any Gringos ring a bell. Gave you soup to take back to your trailer? Enough said. we have hijacked someone elses legitimate question about Campo Rene.

You certainly have the right to your opinion, Glen. What has happened to you? This doesn't add up!
Like it or not these are facts and for some strange reason you are adding a lot of spin to this. They have had a chance to settle this and haven't. I don't expect them to pay for it if they can't, but I do expect them to sell it when there is a chance and they have chinged that twice at least. I have the title and the sale registered in the delegation with everyone there as whitnesses. We sold that trailer to pay debts from our whale venture. We expect the same curtisy.

Glen, not true. They have about $3,000 down on a $6,000 sale. I've been back and called both Marco and the deligaton on a regular basis. Rigo Zuniga and Dom Abido have our phone number, so does the deligation. We have not taken the trailer back because of what happened to Marco, nor do we want it back. We want them to live up to their end of the bargan or sell it and pay us. I have e-mailed Martin several times with buyers interested. Martin has my e-mail & my phone number, no response, but I have a delivery receit and I know he has caller ID. Like I said from the beginning, we are trying to be patient & fair. If they want to keep this private, they need to respond or this will be very public, period. If they want respect, they need to give it, it's that simple.

Abrejojos clarification! After reading all the slanderous posts by Abrejojos Nomad regarding his "experiences" here in Abrejojos I feel compeled to set the record straight. I have had the good fortune to experience Abrejojos for over 30 years and to call the Arce clan my dearest friends. One could not find a finer man than the recently deceased Marcos Arce his brother Martin as well as EVERYONE in the family! Our wonderful Abrejojos Nomad arrived here a complete opportunist, first attempting to interface with any building done for "gringos" for a piece of the action, then forcing himself into co-op meetings in an attempt to convince the collectivo that he could get a "better price" for the seasons catch if they allowed him to negotiate new contacts up north. Our dear Abrejojos Nomad was constantly engaged in attempts to worm his way into any means to establish income here and most were taken back but to my amazement he was still treated with the courtesy and respect that is always so evident here. Even when our nomad ran out of money and desperation beset him he always found an open invitation for "comida" as well as a warm welcome. In the states someone would have quickly pulled the welcome mat and booted his butt but in Abrejojos (much to my amazement) he was always treated with courtesy, respect and friendship regardless of what an irritent he became. For "Mr. Abrejojos Nomad" opportunism came home in the form of an angry crew from Laguna San Ignacio demanding monies owed in another episode of failed opportunism, from which he had skedaddled when no one was the wiser. The creditors demanded anything of value and thus the trailer comes into the picture. The cornered rat had been trying to sell the trailer for some time at an inflated price with no takers, now turns to Marcos who out of kindness buys the old pile for more than it is worth to help with a 3500 US down payment on a balance of 2500US. The satisfied lynch mob departs, Mr. Abrejojos Nomad heads south for greener pastures with promises to provide the paperwork necessary so that Marcos can make the purchase legal (title& Sales Contract) at which point the balance is to be paid. Two years go by while Marcos waits for Joe (oops) to come back so he can finalize the sale, refusing to move or use the trailer since he is a man of his word but there is no contact from our "pequina raton". I can attest to his refusal to sell or move the trailer since I did on many occaisions attempt to convince him to deal with his frustration by selling it or using it as needed. He was steadfast stating that it was not right and he would be patient. Finally our nomad arrives back here for one whirlwind week and splits when Marcos refuces to pay the balance without the title & sales receipt. Another year and Marcos finally moves the trailer into town after it has been broken into and here it sits awaiting Mr Abreojos' return. It is not sold...it is however finally being used and sits like a big sore close to the runway. To assault the memory of a fine man is shameful and to accuse the people of Abrejojos of questionable character, who did nothing but help our little Raton is inexcuseable. Gringos like our Abrejojos Nomad give every expat a bad name... but here in Abrejojos a man is still measured by his word and treated accordingly. I apoligize to all the nomads for my longwinded post but the people of Abrejojos deserve better. Bobby

Well the spin stops here Bobby who ever you are. Marco's was a good man and a good friend as is many people there. But my wife signed a note to pay a bill we owed in the Laguna and paid it on demand. Marco seized the oportunity to buy the trailer, which was not for sale until then, under terms we both agreed on and I paid the debt off. It initally was a win win situation until Marco fell sick. Many people in Abreojos advised us to take the trailer back just before he died. We didn't out of respect for the family and we have given them nearly 5 years to pay the balance. Do the math, it is less than $50 a month, no interest.
I was invited to the Coop meeting by the way and like I said the whole transaction is recorded in the deligation as far as the trailer. I have proof, where is yours Bobby? And yes 911 left me stuck in abreojos until things got back to normal and I made the best of a bad situation working and I gave as much as I recieved, maybe more. It was a very difficult time for many Americans living and working in Baja at the time. I am married to a Mexican and have the right to work in Mexico. You are probably close to being right on the balance and any trailer left un maintained for 5 years is going to be run down. Look on the Internet for Airstrams. Thay are now worth twice what I sold that one for.
I don't care if you have been coming here 300 years, your the back stabber exaderating the facts like this. You must have a real boring life to be following mine and the only people who don't like me there are the one's who steal arrow and spearhead to sell in the states because I blew the whistle on them. Enen Marco Jr. is out to bust those who do and I helped him with information. So get real and quit trying to play the good people on this board for fools. The very fact that this redicalous name calling continues isn't going to convince anyone Abreojos is the great place you clam it to be. 2 new newbies with only 1 post on this thread and I'm the raton. I'm not hiding or afraid of the truth. So grow up...

Perfect, so now everyone can understand why they are charging $50 a night at Campo Rene. Gringos telling me and my Mexican wife to not go to Abreojos because someone doesn't want to pay a debt. Listen, I have enough proof here for my lawyer to make this a very expensive deal if that is what you want. Believe me if you don't respect me, I don't care if you like me and I'll go where I damn well please. Try to interfer and your days in Mexico are over. I have enough proof right here to do just that.
